Welcome

The Braveheart Programme is a military charity dedicated to the support of veterans suffering from the psychological effects of war.

Our programmes fund research into the psychological effects of war in the veteran community in order to better inform the institutions that make policy in this area and also the organisations that are involved in the delivery of healthcare to sufferers.

“The British Armed Forces have access to frontline medical care of the highest quality. It is the aftercare that should concern us, especially for the increasing number of veterans who are suffering from unseen injuries of the mind. In the absence of any official guidelines for the treatment of military post traumatic stress disorder, The Braveheart Programme provides vital support to research into this hidden problem.” Martin Bell OBE
